so i have an 03 6.0 with LOTS n LOTS of cash in it and dont decide to get rid of it but ive got quite the itch for a 6.4....the tuning power difference is crazy compared to the 6.0...i want to get away from HPO...so if i look at one, what am i looking at as far as basic things i NEED TO DO 1st besides the usual EGR welds and full exhaust/intake etc...when do internals become an issue with just tuning..tranny? isnt it basically a 5R110 with a stouter converter?

The trans in the 6.4 has a couple pieces that are stouter than the 6.0. In addition, the converter is upgraded (triple disc) and is an 8 bolt, vs the 6 on a 6.0. That being said, the trans will live for a long time with a big tune and a lot of abuse. You may want to consider studs, but it is more preventative maintenance than anything.
