Where can I purchase valvoline maxlife mercon v?

According to Valvoline http://www.valvoline.com/pdf/maxlife_atf.pdf MaxLife Dex/MERC has a MERCON V rating, along with DEX/MERC, SP, and LV ratings. There is no specific Maxlife MERCON V.
I see Valvoline MaxLife at Wal-Mart and most auto parts stores.

I go to my local Motorcraft supplier/distributor and buy Motorcraft Mercon V for my E4OD. Not a fan of multi-use trans fluid.
Motorcraft has specific fluid for Mercon LV, Mercon V, Mercon SP, etc, etc. Plus I can get 5 quart jugs.

Would I be correct that I need to use Motorcraft Transfer Case Fluid since Mercon V is not approved to use in BW4407 transfer cases and Mercon ATF is not made any more.

Sounds reasonable to me, but I don't know much about transfer cases.
