Message center question

When scrolling through the message center in my 09, there is a selection for a "zone". what is this used for? No problems with the truck, but I like to know what everything is for on my vehicle lol and I can't find any info on this online anywhere. May not be wording search terms correctly.. Any help would be appreciated

If you look in the owners manual it talks about it and shows you a map of the us so you can input the right zone for your location
