I got a plow and mount dirt cheap for my truck. I was looking everything over to see what its going to take to install it and I ran into an issue. One of the brackets is supposed to fit the contour in the frame, and then but up solid against the bottom of the frame rail. However, there is a "stud" sticking down in the location that this bracket is supposed to sit flush against the bottom. I was curious if anyone on this board knows whats for, and if grinding it off will cause any issues. I was in a bit of a time crunch, so I didn't try to look into the frame rail to see if I could tell what it was doing. I have attached a picture of it. I apologize for it being hard to see and oily. For reference, this is right below the steering gearbox.
