Mini maxx trouble

Hey guys I'm new to the 6.4 world. Just picked my first one up last night. It came with the mini maxx and dpf delete. My problem is the menu button isn't working. The other 6 buttons all do what I'm supposing they are supposed to but I can't access any of the menu features. I have tried with just the key on truck not running and with the truck running. Same problem either way. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

key needs to be in run

Sorry that's what I meant when I said in the on position. The key in the run portion but engine not running doesn't change anything on it.
