mirror cover

Does anyone know how to get the top of the mirror housing off? I want to get the smooth tops and get them painted to match.

If you look inside the mirror behind the glass you can see the clips that hold it on..pretty easy to get to with a long narrow screw driver and moving the glass into various positions..if you get a light and look inside you'll get an idea of how they unclip

If it Dosent have caps on now it's more than Likly a one piece Mirror and it's either take the whole mirror off or nothing..

Well I popped off some metal clips behind the mirror and it won't budge. There are some small screws maybe 5/16 and looks to hold the front bezel on. But after further looking it looks to be all one piece.

It has two clips on the top and two on the side..when i did mine i got the top clips popped then was able to rock the cap back and forth and the other ones let go

same here that's queer im not buying new mirrors just to have them painted
