muffler for non vgt

So call me old: (27) lol

but this old hogg muffler aint gonna cut it with this new 362

the drone is already overstayed its welcome and its only been 3 days.

what are some of yalls experience with mufflers. . . quiet as possible but free enough flowing?
4" pipe

or would modding the stock cat to fit 4" pipe shut it up a good bit?

I know I use to put twister mufflers on a lot of trucks back on the day to quiet them down a lot. Stock cat would create a lot of back pressure.

Put a s475 after that 362, that should quite it down.

Their a little pricey but I like the magnaflow muffler on my truck.

I think flo pro just came out with one of those twister mufflers. They say it quiets the truck down but still sounds great.

They did quiet down the truck a good bit but flowed well and still sounded good. Installed 2 on a repo truck and the exhaust was close to stock noise levels.

Donaldson PN: M085171

If that isn't enough, put an FTE resonator up front. The Donaldson itself works great and sounds great though.

It's fairly large. The body is 3ft long.

It also flows better and sounds better than the Hog. It's the highest flowing 4" that Donaldson makes.

It cuts drone really well. And you can hear the turbine really well.

No turbine noise for me, all compressor side. Lol..

Theres some twisters on fleabay that are in the 18" range... Not the same?

They are the same just don't quiet the exhaust as much but do a good job of removing drone.

if you don't want turbine, get a Flowmaster Hushpower

whoops, missed this Donaldson ref earlier... I might see if I have one at work. (work at a freightliner dealership and we carry Donaldson stuff)

That Donaldson PN is a really sweet muffler

Great sound attenuation, but keeps all the good parts of the exhaust note and tons of turbine

ill have to check it out for sure. cause its flat out obnoxious right now. and being straight through , I highly doubt there will be any performance loss
