a few of our vendors sell bts transmissions... its 4700$ but well worth it, unless he has just basic mods then he could prolly just get by with a bts valve body and torque converter...

If he has extra power beyond a chip and runs it hard IMO the only choices that will last long term are a BTS or JW transmission. They also end up being a great value when you consider what all they do to them. I have a BTS and am very glad I did even if the cost did hurt a bit. Its well worth it but it still a good hunk of change for anyone IMO.

So nobody ever dailied a 500hp truck with a twisted diesel trans or a trans from ultimate in Boise? Or anybody else's? Jw trans is about 8k for a full billet build, keep in mind. He's sky friggin high in my opinion.

I personally would run a twisted before either one of them. Neither of them made me comfortable enough to hand over the coin. Now before anyone jumps my a$$, keep in mind I spoke at length with JWs phone answering lady about what it would take to hold what decent sized set of hybrids will 'll put out. He had a 5k dollar option but said it's meant for a hot street truck. He said drag racing or.sled pulling aren't covered. He explained that the race version is necessary if the end user wants to drag race or sled pull. That's 8grand for that one. The towmaster everyone touts as useable for only 4400 is meant for towing with a stock/chipped truck.

BTS is apparently the man when it comes to customer service after the sale. My biggest gripe there was I couldn't "earn" five minutes of their time to answer a question before I set a date. People said "oh, you don't need to.talk to him first..." or "the lady that answers the phone can answer that". Actually yea I do to the first and no she couldn't to the second quote. I know he doesn't need my business but one to three phone calls a day for three months and "he'll.call you back" after each one but no body ever did is my experience there. Take that how you will. Something to take into consideration when you are spending by 5 grand on a slushbox.

i got my bts through beans. after i ordered it and had some questions i would call brian... never once had a problem getting ahold of him.... not saying that its that way for everyone, and still cant believe that brian would leave you hanging like the ty.... i believe you. but it just dont seam like him.... anyway.... bts is also fully built, unconditional, unlimited horse power, 2yr warranty, in which he told me, if you can break it i will fix it no matter how you do it... so all that wrapped up in a 4700$ price tag is well worth it to me and is still the best mod ive done to my truck period...

Just as I believe your experience. But until I attempted there.order one I'd only heard these great experience stories. I'm not.for or against bts, just stating what I experienced.

I just wonder if people really know what a JW trans costs when they recommend them? I think probably not. A real big point to.consider.

Yeah, by the time bill got the fee time to put the trans and he dropped my stock trans only to find out the twisted trans I got was 4wd. At the time they didn't have any 2 wd cores so I had to send my stock trans back to them as well as the built 4wd one they had sent me so the trucking came to pick them up and ended up only picking up one due to some mix up in the paper work. So needless to say something that shouldn't have taken very long has turned into something long and drawn out.... Honestly with the way my luck is if it had went smoothly I would have been worried lol

Well that sucks but do make sure you do a big write up on how the twisted trans works as well as how you were treated by them. I was on the fence between running one of theres are they are local and a BTS. I went with BTS because a close friend had one he was getting rid of. Twisted is in VA as I am so it would have been good as well.

But from everything I hear these guys are working very hard and do a very good job. I think its important that they give some visibility as everyone has to start somewhere in building a rep and name for themselves beyond the local level. I would not hesitate to run one of their trans based on what I have been told about them.
