Ok Guys im starting to gather parts for my stock fuel build. My plans as of now are tow x turbos, headstuds, push rods, stage 1 valve springs. Anyone know what else i should add? I plan on doing fuel and 110 hp nozzles later. Im always considering doing high powers instead of tow's but im just not sure on it yet? any input or experiences would be great..

I would say you should step nozzle size down if you're going with tow x's or high powers. 85s would work perfect with that 76mm atmosphere. And I definitely say step up to high powers if you can swing it.

Even on stock fuel? I would rather have them but, i really like the sound of the tow x's and they seem to spool really well.

Especially with stock fuel. Stock fuel high powers is the funnest truck I've ever driven. Sound is identical.

For a DD on stock fuel, using the factory HP turbo, how do you feel this would work for the LP instead of the 71?https://www.elitedieselengineering.com/product/14002006/Tow-Power-X-Atmosphere-Turbo-Kit/

It is the Low pressure charger on the high power set up if I'm reading things right. IIRC wasnt Jeff upgrading to this VS the 71mm.

Is the HP 62mm really needed or can one on a budget use the tow powerX kit as a "in the middle" if you will, less coin than the high powers but moves more air than the 71mm.

After reading about the success of high powers I'm wonder how options can be expanded further.
Thoughts?

Meh you don't have to do them. Now or ever. But it never hurts. If anything wait till you can swing steed speeds and uppipes

They do with stock fuel the gate is pretty much closed. Fuel mods will require gating

That is my question...unless I am missing something, the Tow X has the same LP turbo as the Tow X. Are there any other differences?
If that is correct, Tow X is 76 and 57, Tow X II is 76 and 59, and HP are 76 and 62?

That is exactly correct. The tow x's run a cast wheel rather than the billet like in the high powers, though.

Thanks....especially since I asked what could possibly be the dumbest question this forum has ever seen....I am pretty sure the Tow X runs the same LP turbo as the Tow X. :hammer:

So jd what's yalls idea on doing the tow x LP alone instead of the 71?

For what its worth, I like the idea and if I was going to have to tear into mine now, that is what I would be doing....of course, since I just set the record for the dumbest post ever on PSA, my opinion probably don't count for much.
