My sons first truck project.

We bought this 1997 ccsb 2wd 7.3psd off Craig's list with a bad engine. The plan is to convert it to 4wd.

I opened up the engine and found it dropped a valve. The truck has 106k so it is low miles.
So I scored this lightly burnt 2000 7.3 from a friend. I pulled the heads and it is like new inside with 100k on it. I am swapping the cam to install a obs cam with fuel pump lobe and all new gaskets.

I ended up getting the 4r100 and the sd t-case for the swap as well

Could have robbed fuel pump, hpop reservoir, fuel lines, and bowl from the sd, and done e fuel SUPER cheap like I did. Then you wouldn't have to deal with a cam swap.

Thanks guys, the kid was in tears when he found out it was a 7.3. He wanted one bad.

Started going back together with the forged rod super duty motor. The motor looked really good inside. The cam is swapped to one with the fuel pump lobe.
