My truck crapped the bed today

Cruising along at 70mph and all of the sudden heard a loud ticking noise (not as deep sounding as a thrown rod) and had TONS of white smoke pouring out of the tail pipe.

Pulled into a gas station and had a good amount of oil pour out from around the dust cover ove the flex plate. No water in the oil and the oil level is still good.

I'll try to post a short video I took and a couple of pics of the oil that came out.

I'm really hoping my HPOP is the only thing that's wrong. Wouldn't that cause the white smoke and ticking noise?

If your hpop puked it's guys out it wouldn't run. Your saying oil is pouring off the back of the motor? Check the valley see where that oils coming from.

I sent Vander the video and pics. He's leaning towards injector cups or turbo.
I had the injectors put in by John Wood on Feb 25th and got my chip reburned by Matt at about the same time. I haven't been reall happy with how the trucks been running since then, but I figured it could wait til June so I could get it live tuned again by Matt.

If it's the turbo, I just happen to have a ZQSSB fresh from Pius I can put in.
I have ~100k on the 38R.

For about the price of the turbo. Better off putting his new turbo setup on. The ball bearing rebuild isn't cheap.

Man that looks and sounds like a cracked piston on a 6.4 but it doesn't explain the oil on the ground unless the crack case pressure blew out a turbo seal or rear main seal or something.

Oil under the truck. That's all it puked out. Still have full level in the motor.

99% of the oil came from around the dustcover.

that amount of smoke with that relatively small amount of oil is strange, unless Im misunderstanding the amount of oil it actually leaked

That's all the oil that leaked. The truck is parked at a gas station for the weekend. I might go and pull the dust cover tomorrow.

What's even more strange is that I had white smoke coming from under the hood, too. It didn't smell like oil but maybe the smoke from the tail pipe was masking that. I completely fogged out I-8 for about 2 miles.
