As title states my brother needs a tranny. Anyone know of best place to buy a quality rebuilt stock, or stockish, tranny cheaply? His 7.3 is stock w/box tuner. Needs to be cheap bc my parents are footing the bill (he's 17). Live in FL, zip 33478

The stocker lasted over 100k, think that'll do just fine lol. Looking for prices, not opinions. No need for a BTS in a stock truck.

I would never recommend a ford reman unless you have a good relationship with that dealer. My reman lasted 4 months and they were bitching about warranty because I have headstuds.

Aren't ford remans over 3K+?

I usually sell ,as good as a stocker gets, ready to bolt in for $800-$1000.

Fwiw, I haven't had the best luck with ford remans in the past either.

I got a PM for a Ford reman HD for less than 3k... Whom do you work for that sells them at 800-1000?

Honestly the "cheapest" route is usually either junkyard or rebuilt. Around where I live if you can find one in a junkyard they usually run around 1000. Give or take. Having your trans rebuilt is about 1300 for a stock rebuild. I got mine done for 1850 with everything upgraded and billet triple disc converter.
