I posted this in Tech but I know this thread is much more active and since the truck is modded pretty heavy though I could find some advice here as well

Mods:

EGR Delete

Exhaust

SCT tuned with gearhead race

6.0 manis and 6.4 to 6.0 down pipes

FASS fuel pump

Titan Tank

Elite 72mm atmo

Head studs

2010 Model F250

55k mi tuned since 32k mi

Truck went into shop for cracked up pipes. Replaced manis w/ 6.0 and heavy duty up pipes. Had truck studded and top end checked out while in shop and ungraded turbo to 72mm atmo. Everything checked out good. Got truck back and with 1/4 tank left had "pressure" in fuel tank and acted like it was out of fuel. Took it back and mechanic replaced cap and said good to go. NOT! Drove truck for several days without issue then when fuel was at 1/4 tank had same issues with additional issue of knocking and blowing blue smoke after sitting for 30 min. Took truck immediately to shop. Knock and smoke is persistent on warm start up. Took back to shop and mechanic recommended low pressure fuel system. Checked recommendation with Rudy's diesel and without telling them mechanics recommendation got same recommendation plus fuel sump. Said pressure was actually a vacuum in fuel tank and pressure was air swapping out. Put in FASS Fuel system and sump. Mechanic installed and stated still had pressure in tank. Upgraded vent line in Titan tank to larger size. That has seemed to Fix 1/4 tank issue and still have knock and blue smoke. Replaced #1 injector after code indicated bad. and same. This only happens after running for a while and letting set for a few minutes to an hour. Does not happen on cold start or even every time on hot start! Please help!!! Truck has been in and out of shop 3 times over 2.5 months with several weeks of that waiting on parts but the last 2 months trouble shooting issues not present before "upgrades". Mechanic thinks it is an injector but not getting codes and said May need to replace other 7 injectors. He treated me more than fair only charging me $600 to upgrade fuel tank/FASS and replace injector but not sure where to go from here. Don't want to just throw parts at it as this is getting expensive!

Like I said in the other post. The only thing I can think of pressurizing the tank is if compression is leaking by the copper crush rings at the bottom of the injector and putting compression into the return line and this putting pressure In the tank

If it was leaking past the cooper washer you would probably have a no start issue. The fuel system would get filled with air and not be able to maintain fuel rail psi. I could be wrong though.

Are you making oil? Have you tried removing the the cap when you are getting "pressure" in the tank?

If it's on the return side it wouldn't effect injection pressure
