Two solid choices, really with head units it comes down to the general features Nav, bluetooth, sat radio, and aesthetics.
For the price difference you get a remote, and a bump in pre-amp voltage which isn't overly much. Both look like solid navigation (might pay a premium for the Garmin name on the Kenwood) with live traffic (key in my mind nowadays) Pioneer is lacking a USB input (but says optional) but you get a SD card slot which is almost as good.
The Pioneer is superior in the audio department even with the lower pre-amp voltage. The pioneer has a 24bit D/A converter, 8-band EQ verse the useless 3-band (kenwood.)
I think you'll be good with either unit. Enjoy!
