Need some clarification

So, I was just sitting here thinking to myself about my truck, and a question that I'm sure the Army would be able to answer popped into my head.

My truck is an XL, with like no options except an aux port and cruise control. My question is, is the wiring to add options such as power mirrors and fog lights and such still present in my truck or would that be a massive undertaking to install stuff like that?

A quick way to find out for instance to see for the fog lights is see if there is wiring behind the front bumper that has connections that are not used on the front left and front right side... I know my 99 XLT had the wiring all setup. I just needed to supply the lights.. I would think that it would.. I could be wrong too..

Curious.. Was there any wires with plugins for fogs behind the bumper roughly where the fogs would be??
