Gonna try some Italian horsepower for the stereo.
Ordered a pair of Audio System X-Ion amps last night.
I know...most people have never heard of them...Audio System makes the Mosconi line also. Both are imported by Orca Designs, the same people that import Focal and a few other high end lines. Not cheap....but they look bad ass and sound phenomenal.

70.6 for my 3 way front stage. 90x4 for my mids and tweeters plus 2x190 for my mid bass

280.2 for my sub. 1480 watts of super clean A/B power @ 2 ohm

I will admit I haven't heard of them, but then again its been quite a while since I had my head in the car audio game (trying to save money) I have heard of Mosconi though and can only imagine this will be top notch nice clean sounding amps.

Can't wait to see the rebirth of the stereo into the regular cab truck!

It kinda turned into a hobby to try to find something good, but so far off the beaten path nobody had every heard of them. LOL

Audio System as well as Mosconi have been sold to a German company called Gladen and apparently have taken production to Korea.
I had to look for a bit to find some original Italian stock but I found a guy in Dallas that still had some unused stuff.

I dunno yet...I may hang onto some of it for a beater install in my work truck or something.

:bowfast:  I hope you are in the Chicago area once this is done. I want to hear it. What sub did you finally decide on. I also want to go for a ride which i did not get last time you were here.

Right now I have a JL 12W6v2 in it and it's a great sub.
I'm looking for a JBL W12GTi MKll to try out. Supposedly just as musical as the JL but digs a lot deeper.

I have heard great things about the GTi and was always on my short list of a sub to try. My buddy who did all the tuning on my stereo ended up going with one for his competition system and put the GTi in some great company

This was his top 10 list

Falstaff, GTI, Stereo Integrity Mag V4, IDQV2, MW190, Aurasound NS, eD OV.3, Dynaudio Esotar2 1200, anything DD, Phase Linear - Aliante

Only trouble with those GTi's is how friggin deep they are, up around 9" mounted depth right? can't wait to see where you squeeze it in.

Front firing in a custom front center console...same way as now.
Mounting depth isnt an issue at all.

Thats exactly what I was thinking you would do, not too many other options with a sub that deep. Should sound awesome!!
