Is a top fuel drag clutch an option for this style truck? They last behind 6k hp top fuel car no reason they should last behind a 1.5k hp truck. That is of course we can do it all with one gear.

I don't know about a top fuel clutch but a few dodge guys are running a danco which is a clutch in front of a 47re. Team smitty has one with massive twins running low 9s. Doesnt seem to have any issue spooling either.

Watching Ben Gollons truck hit the wall at TS last year is what makes me wanna make sure everything is right. I know his wasn't a suspension issue, but I would be devastated if something like that happened.
