What's up all? I just let my 7.3 go Friday and snatched up a 6 hoe Saturday. I'm a huge bike gearhead(look me up on the R1 Forum if any of you share the passion) but I'm wanting to do a build on my 6.0. A little about me...

I'm 21, no not some spoiled brat who gets everything he wants and mooches off of parents money, I work for what I got and work HARD for it. Haha. But as I mentioned, I am a bike nut. I have an 09 R1 project going on now that I "have" to finish before I dive into my truck build.

My R1 Build Thread: http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=321602&highlight=

I will be the first to tell you my knowledge in the diesel field along with the turbo field is limited, hence why I'm here. I can tell you though, I'm not just some "black smoke craving kid", I want true power that will last(I will occasionally be pulling a two horse gooseneck trailer). I've always been one to "learn from doing it it". So if I want 600-650rwhp from my 6.0, I'll have to learn how to get there and just do it.

Hopefully that portrays my intentions enough. I'm more than open to suggestions, advice, or any general knowledge from the forum. I look forward to making this beast come alive with the help of the forum along with my good friend "bft blue oval boys" up here.

My new baby...

Just saw your intro thread. Nice ride. And glad to see someone else who knows what gear is.

Where do you track your cbr? I know you didn't just tape those headlights to look cool. hahaha.

Thanks! And yea I'm a bit of a gear nazi I guess.... I won't ride with squids, haha

I haven't done a ton of trackdays (first one Feb 2011), but I've been to CMP more than anything just cuz it's close and cheap, but also been to PBIR, VIR north, and Jennings as well. VIR and JGP were prob my favorites even though VIR is crazy technical and took some time to learn, but the people at VIR are really turning into dicks as of late, at least towards bikes. Dying to get to Barber but damn it's expensive... lol. Want to hit up Roebling Road and Summit Point at some point as well... when funds allow more like it, lol

Oh man I'm all for gear. I've seen what happens without it(actually just stocked back up on gear with some Dainese Torque boots, Dainese Pro Metal Gloves, Alpinestars new Atem Suit, and trying an AGV lid for the first time).

But ol' VIR... Man that track could be SOOOO sweet for bikes if they would just put some effort into it. But it's getting to the point where they're damn near outlawing bikes because so many lay em down. But its a cycle, if they don't fix the track(i.e: water seeps through the cracks and causes so many lowsides or the cracks in general cause a loss of traction) then of course bikes will get laid down. VIR has SO much potential for bikes, but they are leaning further and further away. It sucks.
