So has anyone replaced one of the newer windows? Do I just need to remove sealant that is on the body work and clean with alcohol or something else? New window showed up today.

If it the black rtv looking stuff. It's actually black urethane made for Windows.

Your putting in a power one? Curious about this as well. They 06 dash i am working on installing has the switch for the power rear window and I would love to use it.

No Vader. Its a manual. Just replacing the rubber gasketed rear window with the glue in rear window. Would love to have the power window but I don't have time to mess with it.

Use tape, like painters tape, to remove the glue. Otherwise its like trying to get gum off your shoe, gets everywhere... A glass guy at work directed me towards the tape.deal. just kinda ball it up and dab at the chit, it will come off.
