Nitto trail grappler mt

So I ended up putting these on instead of Toyos. They ride great up until 65 then feels like truck is floating and is unresponsive with the steering wheel. Does this settle down or just have to get use to it? Kinda worried about pulling the 5th wheel in a couple weeks.

I pull a 26ft gooseneck cattle trailer quite often with mine and they handle it just fine. My trucks got a pretty wide stance too.

I have no issues towing 12-14k lbs @ 80. Sure it just wasn't the road you were on? If you get in a well grooved road from semi's it can get a Lil hairy w/ wide tires & nitto's.

I have nitto mt on my truck right now and no complaints. On my 11 dodge I was running toyo mt and it felt exactly like your saying that's why I didn't put them on my ford.

Btw they are both 35 12.50 20's

Did you go with the taller and more narrow tire? I had some 295/60/20's on factory 20's that felt like that for a little while but they got better with wear. After the first rotate/balance I didn't notice it anymore.

I know when I put my wider Toyo AT2's I noticed the wider tires liked to grab the ruts in the road more. Maybe your tire pressure is maxed out, I have mine set at 40-45psi when i am just driving around, then I just bump it up when i tow heavy.

Almost sounds like you dont have a sway bar from what you are saying.

Same size as my Mickey ATZ I was running 35-12.50-20. I might air them down a little, it actually feels like driving on ice while running over 65. It feels the same on all roads. I haven't hooked the 5th wheel camper to it yet.

I agree with air pressure adjustments helping. Tire stores always fill them to the max and there is no reason to run 80-psi in those tires when you aren't towing. I've always dropped down to like 50-psi and got better ride and driving out of them unloaded. I never noticed what you're describing with the Nitto Trail on my truck though...

They have 55psi in them now from when they were mounted.

New tires always need to wear in to the alignment of the truck. Should be fine after about 1,000 miles. All of my new toyos always used to do this under hard acceleration.
