No start

Truck started this now, turn the key on everything has power, but then when I turn the key to start, nothing, try it a few times and then will finally start, anybody have any thoughts of what might be failing, starter, switch, solenoid?

Could be the starter, however, i woukd also check your batteries.

Thanks, batteries should be good just replaced them a few months back, I've read issues about the starters but not with my symptoms

Ive had a lot that you can get under and have someone try to crank, and the thing will be spitting sparks. Try hitting it with a hammer, see if that fixes it.

All I here is a click under the dash when I turn the key to start

That may be the starter solenoid clicking. It may just sound like its under the dash.

It was the starter, replaced it and there not cheap $440
