Noise at idle when warm

My truck has been making a loud whine when warm. I thought it might be the fuel filter sucking air but I changed the filters at 10K and the noise remains. Some days it's embarrassingly loud.

Mine does it, they all do it, there is actually a TSB from ford about it stating that its normal and to ignore it

My 550 does the same thing, if I rev the motor a little bit it usually goes away...

I guess the good thing is it's not a big deal. The bad news is that is sounds like ****.

i think its the relief valve in the low pressure fuel system, mine only does it at idle and only does it sometimes. i agree it doesnt sound the best

Yep I've heard mine do that as well. Only sometimes though.

Mine whined for a bit, but it ended up being the low pressure fuel pump.
