Not a fan of our dipsticks. Can anyone help me with this?

I can't figure if this is 1 quart low or overfull. The middle serrated part is completely dry.

Check it 3 or 4 times to try to get the oil above the gauge out of the way. The dipsticks have sucked since the 6.0.

I must have done it 6-8 times this time. Do you mean do it a few times to clear the tube on the way up?

Yes. Sometimes it works. Make sure the dipstick goes all the way in each time. That 6.7 stick looks like its more trouble than mine. At least mine isn't black.

Clean off the end really good making sure no oil in inside the diamond shapes. Insert until it's secure. Give it a sec or two. Remove. Wherever you see oil inside the diamonds at the highest point is the oil level.
