Started leaking oil pretty bad Saturday evening, so yesterday morning she got parked at the farm and i'm now driving the "new" farm truck. May be moving my truck out to the back lane later this week and just let it set there for a while.

Weres it leaking?

Thats the million dollar question right now. Made a hard run up to 85 comin home Saturday. Slowed down and pulled in my driveway. Let her cool down, shut it off, and went inside. Came out 5 minutes later to a large puddle dripping from the inspection cover. Moved it to another spot, no more leaks. Next morning there was a line of oil outlining the back half of the engine. Drove it to the farm, parked it. Rail plugs are dry, oil pan was dry when i checked the first time, but theres some oil in the valley. Haven't looked into anymore as the stomach virus thats been going around has been hitting me hard since Sunday night, so laying on my stomach to work on a truck isn't the wisest decision. LOL

HPOP or HPOP lines? that sounds like a lot of oil and if there's oil up in the valley then looking lower may be a waste since it's dripping down the back of the engine. unless you blew the turbo pedistal orings but i don't think blown orings would leave a large puddle... unless they're just gone completely lol. get to feelin better to fix it!

My first thought was HPO line or upper plugs o-rings had blown out as i was running it hard, but they all felt dry. HPOP also looked clean and dry, but i can't see the bottom. Gonna pull the fuel bowl when i get a chance and check, and get everything squeaky clean.

Anyways, here's a throw back. Monday will mark 3 years of ownership, and 3 years of hell. LOL This is shortly after handing over a big pile of cash, or at least for a 16 year old kid.

Lol get rid of the stock fuel bowl. Makes work in up top a lot easier. Before you rip the bowl off I'd get some brake clean and rags and get the oil out of the valley the best you can and run it to see if you can pin point the leak. Those fuel bowls can be a pain.

Damn you bryan and your fancy south bend. Looks good

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

It's so nice to have a clutch that holds power!

Why does it say 40th anniversary on the box still? Lol

Good question... lol All the ones we have been getting in have had that on it.. I'm guessing they ordered a few too many boxes lol

Bryan what do you all have done to your truck motor wise?

Not a whole lot at the moment. Right now its the typical DIY intake with an AFE big boost filter and cover, Diamond Eye exhaust, T-500, 210cc Farmers SureFlows, Tyrant tuning, now the SBC OFEK. Have a Reg. Return sitting in our parts warehouse for my truck, a 38R, 3in plenums, bellowed up-pipes sitting in PA, and some A-1 head studs. Going to be ordering my rebuild kit hopefully in the next month to go through everything and get it ready for bigger injectors, more oil and finally some HP. Cam should be back next month as well.
