So I have a pretty good drip of oil where the dipstick tube goes into the oil pan. I've cranked the big lock nut tight but it's still dripping.

Anyone have ideas to fix the drip? I'm selling the OBS and want the drip to stop.
Thanks!

Strictly diesel makes a kit to replace it without pulling the pan. Google it there are several companies who make one, all are kinda pricy but it's wortH not pulling g the pan.

Or just drop the starter and pull the dipstick. Hold the adaptor with a piece of wire, or needle nose vicegrips, pull the nut off, and change out the oring.
Costs about two dollars, and an hour or two.

I second that post above. I pulled out my dipstick held the adapter with needle nose vise grips and put some on the TA-31 sealant used to seal the oil pan on the adapter then tightened it back up no leaks.
