Where do I install the oil pressure safety switch? I have the efuel setup from bean's & in their instructions it shows the spot for the switch is right by the oil filter. But there are 2 plugs where it looks to be in the instructions. So which one is it?

They both seem really tight & i don't know if the switch will even fit in these. Thanks!

What the hell do you need a oil pressure safety switch for? If you dont have oil pressure, the truck wont start, plain and simple. Thats the genius behind a heui injection system.

Oh I am very aware! The instructions say the pressure switch will keep the pump from running all the time!! I don't know. Just figured I'd ask haha.

Well, if you open that top one, you will strike coolant. The bottom one is access to the crankcase.

So if you get into a wreck and a fuel line is ruptured the pump doesn't sit there emptying your tank onto the ground and potentially engulfing you in eternal hell-fire

...or something along those lines.

Alright, so let me get this straight. The switch will shut the pump off only when you get in an accident, knock your pan on the ground, loose oil pressure, rupture a fuel line while getting knocked unconscious rendering you unable to turn the key? Just to prevent the mess all that diesel would make?

Ya, sounds like I don't need it hahaha!

Or if the engine dies during the impact. The kit I installed uses an inertia switch to shut off the power to the pump in case of an impact.

I have seen more than one diesel on fire on the side of the road. I am not saying it had anything to do with a fuel pump shutting off, but it can't hurt.

We just had a T800 with full tanks set on fire about a month and a half ago & it only kept burning because of the fiber glass! Not saying diesel can't catch fire but in my experience it hasn't! Haha.

I have worked on countless diesels with considerably large fuel leaks in the valley/ near turbo, etc, and never, have I ever seen them even smoke, let alone catch fire. This isnt a gasser

I have seen a 4630 burn to the ground. The fire started because of hydraulic oil, but you could tell when the diesel started burning. I am not saying its common or that any method to shut off the pump is going to make one lick of difference, but it's happened.

I have on a few occasions needed to diagnose an electrical problem and having the pump not run continuously while the key was on was nice. I dont think it is necessarily a bad thing to be able to have the pump not run in a key on engine off scenario. Im not saying that was the intent of the design we would have to ask the company that sells the product that question.
