Well, I think I have the air side of of my engine upgrades figured out:
- ported intake
- ported heads
- headers and new up pipes
- stock turbos (maybe)
I have already installed a CAI, intercooler and CAC pipe.

I will be installing a Spartan tuner, SDP down pipe and EGR delete with waste gate, 4' CAT DPF delete pipe, which will mate to my 4' DPF back exhaust.

I have a goal of 650 HP on fuel, and want as close to no smoke as possible as this truck will remain my daily driver.

So, here are my questions:
-do I need to upgrade my injectors?
-Does the Elite Air Dog 2 upgrade kit help performance, and is it worth the cost?
- What other recos, other then transmission does anyone have to help me meet/exceed my HP goals.

Thanks.

If you keep stock turbos I dont think injectors will be worth it, unless you plan on hpfp upgrade in the future.

You wont really see any performance from the ad upgrade either, imo its a good mod. There are some posts about fuel pressure drop at wot you can read to confirm what I said. Stock lpfp looses alot feeding these big tunes.

71mm atmos turbo is a great upgrade for the price.

Then again im no expert, but learning as I go.

If your wanting retain your stock turbos you could go with the batmowheel upgrade for your atmosphere turbo. Will increase boost and clear up the smoke a good bit. There happens to be one for sale in the classifieds. :)

Ported heads, exhaust manifolds and up pipes arent necessary at this point of your build and in my opinion would be a waste of money. Buy an air dog/ fuel bowl delete and a 71mm atmosphere turbo and you'll be around 650 with a good tune. I personally lkke the 5" exhaust better as well. And people say they are relatively smoke free.

The turbo and lift pump set up might be cheaper then the set up you stated, I'd spend the extra money on traction bars and maybe some tranny upgrades to get the power to the wheels

I wouldn't do ported heads for your goals. I'd spend the money on one of the 71mm offerings like said and some nozzles. I personally don't think 650 will happen on stock fuel. There are only a few to hit that number and a lot less that can't hit that number.

Bigr, JD, Mike C., Jeff@ Spartan... etc...have all done 650 on stock fuel - added airflow goes a long way with these trucks so I cant say that I agree

I like track times..Mikey, Mike C and Jeff are all right there.

I like track times also. Mine put me at 586rwhp on my street tune with stock chargers. I'm hoping to make it down soon and see what my new charger nets me on the same tune and then I'll run both race tunes.

Mine made 641 uncorrected on a Dynojet 248C with the Elite 71mm. Most consider it to be a pretty accurate dyno. Same model as David Dunbar's old dyno that was always at the major events on the east coast.

I just don't put much faith in any dyno numbers. I only use them to show a gain over previous setups. Have you been to the track yet to see if the new dyno number gives results in the 1/4?

I'm going soon. 420's go on today or tomorrow, traction bars and 3-link go on in the next 2 weeks. My thing with the numbers are that there are several people who have made around the same numbers with this setup. There have also been quite a few make at 650 or over with big turbos and stock fuel. It's not like it's a new thing.
