Does anyone have a quick way to clear this damn code so i can get my truck smogged

they plug in to the OBD and look for codes were your from ?

just lit CEL's on the dash for us

tell em you needed batteries WTH ?

The ONLY way to get rid of the code is to drive it enough so that all the OBDII tests run. It can take quite a while. It takes stop and go and quite a bit of constant throttle, constant speed driving.

P1000 is drive cycle incomplete

don't recheck for codes after you clear the codes..

clear the codes, unplug the scanner and go about your business..

if you clear it, then go back to check it, you're setting it yourself.

that must be a 7.3 thing?

mine (6.0) you can check all day long and when I clear it with the cts or A/E the
1000 is never present like if I disconnect the batts

Be honest, I don't see it on everything I work on day-to-day...

must be whatever the software geeks wrote into the program..
