Well, she is at the dealership. My Ford tech there is a performance diesel guy, mostly around the 6.0s, and really digs my setup. From listening to my ailments, he seems to think it is an injector as well. He will check it out, save the nozzle, and most likely swap the injector. And I'm ordering my trutrac today, and he will instal it as well... He can't get to it till thursday, so I left it there. Good thing the duallie trans hasnt chit the bed yet... LOL Also going to have them drain my fuel tank.. It has been sitting a while, and I dont want that to be an issue later on...

Pimp, prob all it is. There is no sign of a misfire, except for the code... And this did happen after a cab off...

Thanks man.

I didn't have any misfire or anything either. Just the code.

I started getting the misfire code, then cleaned out the plug, as you suggested, and still got the code, and started getting the vibration at idle... Ford will use the big scanner... We shall see....

had this problem the first build i did. would run smooth then lose balance and shut the cylinder off. once the computer see's the balance rate go out side of 5% from high to low , it shuts the low cylinder off. it, iirc was one of my 60hp nozzles causing the fuss.

Yep mike is right

And the reason why when you drive it hard it doesnt throw the code is because it cant do the self test, It will do that at an idle and then pull or add fuel, usually you will see smoke and hear a possible knock, then eventually it will shut the cylinder all the way off.

MOST likely its the injector body and not the nozzle, some nozzles obviously flow better than others, most claim a tollerance of 2% combine that with an injector body that might flow a little difference and that might be the issue

My money is on the injector body i had one do the same exact thing to the T but mostly when it was cold

Yeah, but you are in WY.... It is ALWAYS cold... LOL

I don't think nozzle either. These have been in for over a year, and unless the nozzle got a lot of trash, that passed the 2 Airdog filters, and the injector bodies, and got hung up in the nozzle, I believe they are all ok... (fingers might be crossed a little bit.... ) and the body chit the bed. But, we shall see in a few days. And this just started out of the blue...

No sir. I could have swore someone saying the issue was because of a mixed up pushrod during the build.

Must be. Maybe it was just speculation at that point.

Carry on...

#2 injector was running 19% out of spec.... he increased it to 25%, and it ran smooth as hell... So, I'll be getting a new injector in the morning... He knows to switch the 110 hp nozzle out as well... LOL
