Painting grill surround

Would a quart, be enough paint to paint the grill surround? I've never painted with a gun, should I buy a cheap paint gun and practice a little then attempt the surround or buy aerosol cans? If so how many aerosol cans would I need? I can paint pretty decent with rattle cans. I would prefer to just wrap it. But I can't find any wrap to match. I will be buying a new black ptm grill. Then putting a platinum center bar overlay on. Thanks.

Use a gun...spray cans will never lay as nice and it won't match.
Also...it will only take about a 1/4 cup of paint.

OK thanks for the info. I'm still trying to decide what to do. I can't find wrap so I'll have to paint.
