I've had a 10 -25 degree delta between EOT and ECT this Summer. They ran identical all Winter and Spring air temps were above 80 deg F.

I ordered
- Performance Machine Coolant Filter Kit
- 1 gallon Restore coolant flush
- 1 gallon Restore plus coolant flush
- two F108N Fumoto drain valves
- Ford OEM thermostat
- 4 gallons of Red Fleetgard coolant concentrate
Will spend the next few days putting together something to backflush radiator, heater core and oil cooler (hopefully with hot water). Will pick up about 40 gallons of distilled water also. Did I miss anything.

As a bonus I ordered a blue spring banjo bolt upgrade FPR kit as well.

We will see if I can save this oil cooler.
Have I missed any essentials?

Depending how many miles you've got, may be a good time to do a new waterpump too.

I'd just spend the $275 on the oil cooler rebuild kit now and be done with it. It seems like every thread I've read about these flushes, the cooler still seems to spread temps like crazy in a short amount of time. Very temporary fix.

Hope it works out for you though, I'll be watching closely.

Flawed or not my thinking is this. If I get everything other than the oil cooler clean and the right coolant in it, I will be much better prepared to replace the cooler. I have read a ton of threads where new coolers clog up pretty quickly. If the old one clogs back up, I will think I saved the cost of the new one the first time. We will see. Would like to save cooler replacement until I can do studs and HG's this Winter.
