I could hit that if I was cruising in overdrive and punched throttle. I'm a couple thousand feet above you. That'd be the only way tho.

Any of those factors really should matter especially since hes at sea level and i was too when i had my 66.

I TRIED to break 1350, and couldnt lol. TQ locked dig, dead stop, any mph roll. it just wouldnt.

-Edit.. eh nvm, every truck is different and i dont think OP has all the airflow mods like my truck does...so take that for what its worth.. Still think 1350 i about the max even on a completely stock truck. Brian could chime in on what the max EGT he sees is.

Probably need to look at the tuning as far as where the pw is at and timing and if it is actually holding rail pressure.

If the tune has 2.4 ms and it's injected at stock timing it's gonna be smokey and have egt's thought the roof.

Thanks Morgan

Where would timing at on a stockish tune?

Also where should timing be at with this level of power?

I think these tunes are at stock timing because it is a little on the smokey side but it is way cleaner then previous tunes also at 60 it already hit 1540 in 5th.

There is a lot more to just that, there are transient and mass fuel desired tables that make a big difference too. It all is part of the tune. But I would need to know the specifics of your tune before I would get too into making suggestions. You could call a couple different tuners and get files and see what they come up with. Compare with each other.

As sootie said also check for boost or exhaust leaks , it only takes a very small opening to raise your EGTS
