45mm socket should get it. They are a one-time use nut. Here's the part number: W709296. Torque to 350ft lbs

and you're welcome LOL

it has also been suggested to make sure the pit man arm isn't turned all the way in either direction so your not on the internal steering box stop

usually doesn't wind up there anyway .. just throwing that out there ;-)

I have a lot of steering slop and I'm hoping the splines aren't messed up. It also took out the bushing to the trac bar.
I'm having everything replaced with heim joints (trac and drag link bars)
It's one of the things that's holding me back from starting my suspension

So I've heard. I'll have access to a lift since a buddy is building the bars. The drag link and the trac bar aren't the same angle and that's somethig I want to fix

do not take off your pit man arm ..
that is not your issue

listen to SAK but don't attempt without some info ,, you can bind your steering gear .. and cause a real safety issue

I was originally going to tighten the nut up. The pitman arm has some play and there is MAJOR steering (probably due to the shot bushing)
I'll see if I can get a video of the slop.

Major isn't the word I'd use...... more like a chit load

If you're going to have the box off a reman through ford for a 6.4 is about $375. Or I picked up a redhead unit for my 97 truck last week for around $300ish. I couldnt get the video to work, but from what I have seen when these boxes have a problem they are usually effed.

In my 15 yrs or working on cars I have never seen one loose on the splines nice job.

I wouldn't bother tightening the nut down just get a new arm.
