Ported intakes?

Are there any other options out there for a ported intake besides Elite? Not bashing them but $1200 is a lot of coin, just wondering if there is a cheaper option or if they are truly worth the money to get one fully done like they offer.

Ive heard some people say the ported intakes are just the intakes with the runners cut out of them and some porting done? Maybe if you have the access to cut/grind/port/weld you can try it yourself? Not positive though

Dremel....CHECK
JB Weld....CHECK

J/K, I wish I had the access, skill and time to try this but unfortunately thats a no.

I would just go ahead and drop the money.....$1200 is a lot but worth it in my opinion.

JB weld and duct tape fix EVERYTHING if Macgyver can build a plane out of it you should be good to go!!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Are you going to do any testing with this manifold? It would be nice to see someone produce some real tangible data with this upgrade.

I would definitely post some data before and after an install. The only problem is I wouldn't just be doing a manifold...

Elite will be doing a true test of solid before and after data. EGT's, Boost, Hp, Torque, spool-up time, etc. on a truck equipped with stock turbos, then later on with a tow-power atmosphere.

This will be done on a hot tune with the only change being the intake manifold. Same truck, same everything else.

Will this test be done with all three after market intake manifolds vs. stock for the 6.4L? Or just Elites vs. stock?
