Could you elaborate?

I can but don't want this thread turned into a pissing match.

But the jist of it is that a cam with bigger lift and duration depending on what the heads are is not always your better bet for making power. Air doesn't like to stop and start and change direction... now take into the fact of it doing this with a longer stroke and overlap and well... now you have different things going on in the event of the intake stroke that isn't happy. hence not helping the turbo lite at lower rpms and making less hp up top.

I would not be happy if I spent that kinda money on a stage 1 cam that is said to be a

Drop in replacement with corrected valve timing
increased lift and duration for efficiency VS the OEM grind that was designed to promote EGR Flow

And was told It may not work with my heads cause they are stock.

Is anyone degree ing these cams or just dropping them in and assuming they are correct? Second thread I've seen that this might be the issue. Just my thoughts

Do you ever figure out what the issue was?

I did notice that the duration was a little different than other stage 1 cams.

Was curious because I have my motor apart and wanted to do a cam swap

I havent, cant find anything wrong with the truck (i do this for a living) it run flawless it just doesnt make horse power. I dynoed it last weekend and it made 755tq 420rwhp, the curve falls off after peak hp. two good running trucks, one has a cam one doesnt. the one without simply blows it away.
