Problem removing sensors from DPF

I'm planning to delete my DPF tomorrow.

I've deleted a half dozen 6.4 trucks and on two occasions, had sensors that had been over-torqued from the factory, resulting in VERY difficult removal and stripping the threads on the sensor.

Have any of you who've deleted your 6.7 DPF experienced trouble removing the sensors?

Do you recommend zip-tying the sensors up to the bottom of the truck/frame or can the sensors be left in the DPF (won't have to worry about stripping the sensor threads) and easily unplugged from the wiring harness?

heat them up to glowing red, that should do it. mine had almost 90,000 miles of new england roads on them and they came out with heat no issues.

dont remove them, after you get the exhaust out, then soak them with break free, and then if/when you use it for pyro, it should come out just fine.

IIRC these sensors are around 30 bucks from the dealer.
Double check the price, but for 30 bucks I can't see it being worth the hassle to save them to use for pyro #1.

most of us do because they cme out in 10 seconds, but most of us dont have your budget.

I was also concerned with the older sensors pyro probes failing and running through a turbine, but that could happen with even a new one i suppose.

Hey if a squirt of wd40 saves you 30 bucks than great.

30 seconds of heat on each and they came out like butter, cost almost nothing.

I know, I work on 2-3 per week :D

H&S doesn't require the sensors to the in the exhaust for 6.4 or 6.7 (or for Cummins or Duramax)

One of the great things about their tuning.
