Ranking

Ok so I noticed that we have a rank to go with our post count.

Now I am a Marine but I do know Army rank structure.

Corporal in the Army is a leadership position. Where a Specialist is a tech position.

I find it ironic that we do not have a Specialist rank before Corporal.

specialist and corporal are still e4 in the army for the exception of the title looking better for promotion, but the specialist could still rank before the corporal...from what im told.

A corporal is a leadership position. As in squad leader, or team leader. But you are correct there is Recruit Private, Private, Private First Class, Specialist, Corporal, Sargent, Staff Sargent, Sargent First Class, Master Sargent, and from there I get confused.

You forgot 1st Sgt too... E8, same as Master Sgt but more of a leadership role.

CPL is a junior NCO, SPC is not... both same pay grade though.

I was a SPC and was a squad leader and one the guys in my 8 man squad was a corporal, and he hated it

My squad leader now is a SGT.... Team leader is a SPC

I was in the Marines rank was more basic. Pvt, PFC, Lance Corporal, Corporal, Sgt, Gunnery Sgt, Master Sgt, 1st Sgt, Master Gunnery Sgt, Sgt Major, Sgt Major of the Marine Corps.
