I have one in the shop waiting, It looks sweet and should flow good. We will see hopefully soon. It pretty much has all the bolt stands machined out, can't really see where any other porting was done. For the price I think it will be great!

all the rcd manifold does is machine the bolt posts out.

the other manifolds cut the top off, machine the posts out, tub the inside out, and weld the top back on.

for a guy looking for a cost effective alternative, who doesn't have big plans for his truck, the rcd manifold is a very good choice.

for the guys looking for maximum flow, the others are what he's going to be after. flow wise, there will be no comparison. rcd's won't flow near as much.

but that's not who rcd is targeting with their manifold.

Will the rcd intake out flow the heads? I am debating this one or the one from Jeremy.

Go go, elite, Rcd, diesel dr. All just machine out the stands. Very few actually cut it apart and port the entrances. I have installed elite and they do make a noticeable difference in responsiveness. They have the "hump" removed and a plate welded in place. Idk how much the "hump" delete does. They are all nice intakes the main thing is that the stands are machined out.

The Rcd is the best bang for the buck. If you are going to spend over 1k$ I would then get a custom ported cut-away manifold. For anything less I would save your money and buy the Rcd.

Or just get a die grinder and a cutoff wheel, split your intake and clean it up yourself. If you feel comfortable with it. Its not very complicated and you can have a weld shop weld it back together if you don't have the equipment.

I port my own, doing it yourself can save you a lot of money.

The thing you guys need to remember is that all you are trying to do is remove major restrictions to flow. 50+psi will do the rest. I've ported a lot of gas cylinder heads and intakes spent time on flow benches. I can tell you the effects of radiuses and sweeps are very much minimalized under boost pressure versus 28" vac on a flow bench.

That being said any airflow upgrade, when done in the correct setting, will net you some gain. It may not be much in the form of hp, but there are other things than just power.

Sent while hooked to something, somewhere, with my foot through the floor!
