Reasonable price for a core motor to build?

I can get a complete 6.0 (03) for 1750. It ate an injector an burned a piston, cylinder wall is still pretty good. Does this sound reasonable? Worst case scenario, What is a motor worth if I pull it apart an send out for cores?

He has another available (04.5) but hasn't pulled it apart yet. Metal shavings in the oil...

Please, shead your advanced knowledge on my novice noggin.

I bought an 06 recently with everything but injectors, still had all the sensors minus egr and still had the turbo... just had blown gaskets for $400.

Holy crap that's a steal! I don't really want to spend dang near 2k on a core motor...I mean that's a nice set of injectors or other go fast parts.

These are not cores. We can include a set of checked decked and pressure tested heads. Intake manifold and front and rear cover as a package deal for under what your going to pay for that local motor. Cross hatch still looks good in cylinders etc on these bottom ends. shoot me a pm if interested.

ehh, i think ill just keep looking around. i saw one complete motor that needed head gaskets for 800 bucks, of course it was sold within a hour.

What are you needing? Bottom end or complete motor? 1750 is too high unless it has no miles on it and totally complete. Melted piston depending on how bad will need boring.
