Hey guys, just picked up an 09 F350 CCLB with the zf6. For the time being, just shooting for the 500 range. Clutch is taken care of. H&S will be the tuning. 5 inch exhaust. My questions are, what is everybodys opinion on EGR deletes and intakes. Whos got the best or whats the best way to go with them? If I ever upgrade chargers it will be a ways down the road, same with injectors. I've installed a few different brands, just looking to see if any had come to the surface as being a little better than others yet. And is it needed to put a fuel system on a truck with no more than what I have plans for. Reliability maybe? Anything else I need to do? Plan on doing a CCV mod as well. What do you guys think, anything else?

From what I've been reading, No Limit is the way to go on the intake. For what I'm shooting for, is the CAC tube and intake elbow needed?

A tune will get you there easily. Egr deletes are just block off plates so any of them would be good and I've heard all good things about the nl intake. I have afe & s&b and s&b seems to suck filter minder with a 210 tune. Neither of my trucks have fuel systems that I use to pull trailers with. One truck has cac and intake elbow and I couldn't tell a difference.

It won't be hard to hit 500 at all. Everything you plan on getting should get you there fairly easily. Personally I think most egr deletes are the same just different names so pick a sponsor and you will be good. As far as the intake, mike with no limit makes awesome stuff and you wouldn't be dissapointed. That's a pretty stable platform IMO. Mine was very realiable at that power level and when I went over 550 top end work was needed and now I gotta get a trans but I'm not easy on stuff either.

Yeah I know a tune will get me there, guess I just included that so people would know what I plan on doing. Just want to get a good list of what I need to do to make it reliable since it will be hooked to a trailer a lot.
We have had 2 other 6.4's but they just got the DPF deleted and an AFE intake and got the snot run out of them with a Spartan tune lol

The one was dyno'd after I sold it and made 585. It ran great and had a lot of pep. Auto didn't like towing though. That's why I figured, shoot for 500-525 and make it as reliable as I can.

Aside from the egr and dpf delete another thing that won't hurt is a coolant filter and check your temps to see if your oil cooler is clogged and needs to be replaced.

I would do the deletes, intake and cold side pipe from no limit. Maybe a tune from gearhead. His tunes are smoke free and run great. An upgraded atmo turbo would be a good addition as well, adds a few hp but more importantly lowers egts quite a bit. Either the 71 or 72mm would work and a few sponsors here sell them for a reasonable price.

If I do turbos, it will be a ways down the road. Forgot, truck has 96,000 miles on it. Who all's a dealer for No Limit on here?

I definitely think a 71 or 72 would be a good addition. I currently have Elite's 71 and have put about 25k miles on it...80% have been towing. I have grosser up to 33500 and routinely gross 30k and haven't had any issues and I really like the fact that even climbing grades with that weight, my EGTs almost never go above 1200. As someone mentioned, I do think the coolant filter is a good idea and consider replacing the oil cooler after you had the filter on a little while.

Fuel system is good for filtration. Reliability, eh some have issues with LPs crapping the bed.

Anything above stock on injectors hpfp and turbos are going to be less reliable than stock. The bearings on factory appearing compounds can only take so much. On a low pressure if you want reliable I wouldn't go with air dog that's for sure I'm not sure about some of the other pumps.

:whs: Right now I think either A-1000 or the Fuel Lab are the way to go.
