Sorry, I was thinking 6.0 on the Harland sharp's. my apologies.

I thought I heard 6.0 rockers will work on a 6.4? I've had to replace 6.0 rockers though, so I don't know that they're any better.

I take it aftermarket 6.0 rockers won't work on the 6.4's?

The basic rocker arm setup is the same (plastic clip, ball and rocker arm), but the fulcrum plates are way different.

The failure on 6.4 rockers is a simple oil issue. The 6.0s have oil coming through the pushrod, and the injectors spraying oil all over the valve train from the injector lubricating the rocker arms much better. The 6.4 lacks oil being sprayed from the top of the injector, and only has the pushrod for lubrication.

I believe the heat of regen compounded with diluted oil is what kills the rocker pads. You typically see it on the exhaust rockers which carry the heat of regen.

I bought my truck with 108k. It had a clean OASIS and engine hours calculated to 41mph avg speed.

I've got 154k on it, and this truck is HANDS DOWN the best truck I've ever owned.

Assuming clean OASIS and acceptable engine hours, I would own these trucks for as long as I could afford to. The build quality, comfort, and tuned power is 2nd to none!
