IIS K31's...are they the same as Detroit series? All K31s 71mm inducer? Is GTX 42's better?

No. Industrials k31 is an old clone of a Pius turbo. Should work ok of you can handle dealing with them.

But yes, all standard k31's are 71mm wheels. 4202's are 74 iirc. For what it's worth, David Lott is running a gtx42 and he's making some dang good power with it. Certainly more than you'll see out of a billet 31

I made north of 600hp with a Pius K31. It was maxed out. Came on hard. You could always look into a used 42r. They can be had pretty inexpensive. Kubis made 715 with his a couple years ago.

Not to throw this off track....but for a truck wanting 600 use able horsepower, why don't more people look at a S468FMW?
Time and time again it proves to be a 600+ turbo on fuel and 700+ on spray.
Spools nearly instant and has a price tag sub $1500.

Impressive turbo whether its off track or not!

I made 600+ with a KASB(billet k31) and that thing drove like a 38r. Not one bit of lag at 5500'. It was awesome
