SCT X3 failure to load?

Ok, I got my X3 back so I thought I'd load an IDP tune again. I turned the truck back to stock with my DashDAQ, plugged my SCT in and went through all the options and it comes back "Failure to Load". It then tells me to turn it back to stock so I try that and it goes through all the tuning back to stock and then fails again. Now my SCT and my DashDAQ won't communicate with the truck. What did I fry?

Try disconnceting the batteries for like 5 min, and or email Eric. I had a similar problem when my batteries went dead while loading and thought I fried the tcm. He got back to me right away and helped out.

i had that issue on my first X3... kept failing, and wanting to return to stock. had eric send me like 3 different x3's, and disconnected the batteries, etc... i fried my whole pcm system. idk how though. i believe trying to tune some many times and failing, my batteries got low on voltage and something happened.

i would hook chargers too it.

i have a livewire now...

Erik, I'll give that a try tomorrow. I left it parked at work and drove my beater home. Thanks for the idea though!

Eric 2, I don't have a charger so I guess I'll hook jumpers up with my Ranger tomorrow to see if it helps while I'm messing around with it. How much did you have in the pcm?

Sorry to hear your having trouble Dustin. I know i returned my truck to stock with it so that shouldnt be your problem. Hopefully Eric can get you fixed up tomorow.

No worries bud, I know its nothing you did lol.

I came in this morning and my key fob wouldn't unlock the door indicating dead batteries. I unlocked the door and could hear a clicking inside, it sounded like the same clicking when I burned up the ECM in my old 7.3. Guess I'll go get some batteries for it since they are the originals for the truck anyway and go from there....

Had similar issues, but was stuck with a tune on it, returned it and traded up for a livewire. Nothing but issues with the x3's

Will do man, I'd say if I need a new PCM I'll probably just run my Spartan stuff until you guys get your DashDAQ stuff sorted out and I'll try your 585 tune on it.

I can't wait for the intake to show up :D

Ok, new batteries and the X3 still fails to load stock and the DashDAQ still won't communicate with the truck. I'm gonna place money on it being officially fried lol.

Next question, ordering a PCM, can I just order any of them or how does that work?

I think you would have to send the x3 back? It did the same to me when I was in Denver, most likely from the batteries.

Ok, I tried a recovery file from SCT as a last effort from what Eric told me to try. Now on to the PCM, can I just order any PCM? I found some on eBay for 320ish but I need to know how to go about it before I buy one. Any advice?
