I know digging an old thread up.
I just replaced mine in about an hour. Don't need to remove the fan or even route it behind the fan. An extra set of hands are useful just in case.
Get the old one out. Remove the bolt and plug going to the fan on the driver side. The new one start around the crank the work up. I did the left first then the right. Pulled the tensioner down and slipped over the alternator and under the top idler and done. Double check, plug the fan in and fire it up.
