Snow plow prep package question?

I know both the 250's and 350's can have this package, but my question is do they use the same front springs? From my understanding, the plow package uses the 6000lb front springs. Just looking for some feedback, the guy that installs plows on our trucks said that the plow I have fits on my truck(2011 350 w/ plow package) but says it cant go on a 250 with the plow package. Anyone have any idea why that might be? Also just out of curiosity are the front springs the only real change with the plow prep package?

What are you looking at for a plow? I venture to say that it would be fine.

I have the plow already on my current truck and its a Blizzard 8611PP. Looking at a new truck possibly and I have found some 250's I like, but I was hoping just to move this plow to the new truck. I just was trying to get some input if the 250 could handle this large of a plow.

I think you should be fine with that on a 250.
