Sound resignation

Can the sound resignation muffler over the rear axel be taken off without throwing a CEL? Everything else is still stock. No tuner yet

I was told the truck will make some sound without it with the rest of it still stock.

I want to so bad I can taste it but with my luck it will sh*t the bed on a mild tune. So I'm just waiting to see what's up with the new setup from H&S and if it holds up or not.
