Any body else running a similar setup to me on a stock trans? I do have a suncoast triple disc billet converter and billet input shaft but the internals of the transmission are stock. Currently running Warren Diesels 190/100's. Other mods in sig. Just wondering if anyones tranny is holding up to this setup. A little nervous with the possible power shes putting out now.

I ran that same set up and a completely stock trans. Truck ran About 30 1/4 mile runs at 380-420 hp before I added the turbo/injectors. and then I had the work done, Ran about 40 1/4 mile passes at 500-520 hp and the pump was the final straw. Pump ate itself on the track enough to stall the engine at 99 miles an hour when I let up after the run. Shafts were all good, clutches were on their way out.

Similar set up, as long as you have a good tune your trans should stick around for alittle while. Having the converter and input your ahead of he game but only time will tell.

Y'all have better luck than I do. Mine didn't last long on 190/100s.

Over a year w/ 190/100's stock turbo and trans. On my 2nd stock turbo. Lots of 1/4 mile runs on and off the track. Plenty of burnouts and dicking around stop light to stop light.

Good friend has 190/stock with a powermax been running it for 3 years now with no issues.

On my truck I run tony wild man and gear head tunes. Been mostly running gear head. Ran full fuel tunes for Around 8-9 months daily driving. Just recently started running on reduced fuel tunes. Almost the same power and smoke free lol. My Buddy has always ran extreme race from idp... always haha.

It's not going to last long. Your gambling every time you go wide open. It may last a couple months but.....

As a DD it should hold a while. I didn't mean to make it sound like it would go at the first drop. As I said my shafts were all fine. The pump went and it was in the biggest spartan tune and the pressure turned up 10%. Sorta lays it right out as to why it went.

The truck was a cattle truck before I got it. 105k miles of towing and ranch work. That was why the clutches were a bit worn. The guy I bought it from took great care of it but he towed heavy and often.

Pay to play right?? Lol

Mine lasted a year and a half with 190's and a powermax, with nothing but a upgraded direct solenoid, but everybody says I drive like a grandma! Haha

Interesting. I made 18 1/4 miles pulls on stock injectors and the powermax and i blew my pump into about a billion pieces. ive got a used tranny in it now with 100k and i put the suncoast converter / input shaft in their new. it seems to be shifting firm the way it should, it shifts great when i put the pedal down. I guess time will only tell. I just want it to make it at least to the end of the summer. Hopefully next fall i can get the trans built and maybe get into a stage 3 turbo. Who knows. Id like to think anyways that the suncoast converter should make a big difference in the stock trans (with this setup anyways). It would probably be a whole different story if i was runnin 225's on a stage 3 turbo.
