Tried to do some research to see if its been done before but really haven't found anything. I measured my subs last night (would be easier if they were slims) but that are 5 inches tall. I'm going to try and build the biggest sealed box I can for these. I still need to research what the recommended air space are for these.

The subs are Rockford fosgate r1 10" subs. I have a 1000watt Kenwood pushing them. They sound pretty good in the box that they were in but when ppl sat in the back it would get annoying on your back.

The plan is to fill the two pockets on either ends of the seat with the amp rack between them. Not sure if I will have to raise the seat up or not for these. There is 7 inches of clearance from floor to seat and the seat goes does about an inch with me sitting in it.

Here is the box that was behind the seat. Any other ideas that you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought these a few months ago. Or I would I don't think it will be too hard to get them to work

Did so research on these and the box sizes that I plan on making will meet the .5 cubic feet requirement for these subs. I may raise the rear seat up .5", just to be safe and should be relatively easy to do.

I am pretty sure the rear seat in the 99-02 trucks can easily be moved forward and up without much trouble to gain you some room if you need it.

I'm pretty sure it has been done before, but I don't have any picture examples to give you.

Should work good with the 2 subs on the sides and amp in the center. I would downfire the subs (bout 1.5-2" off the floor, then for the amplifier in the middle, just keep in mind tuning the system (access to the amplifier) probably have to pull the seat to get to the amp unless you make some sort of a pull out tray or so for the amp. Once it is all tuned you shouldn't need to touch it though, so maybe check fit/finish with the seat in, then pull the seat again, do all your tuning and button it up for the final time.

Yeah I actually moved the seat up for the subs that were behind it. It was kinda a pita for anyone with boots on to get past the pillar and seat when getting out.

I moved the seat back to original holes and I'm going to try to raise it some.

I have my seat moved forward for a sub box I had behind the seat and I agree on getting in and out. But I don't sit back there so oh well. Haha. I do plan to move it back some day.

Cut out the boxes last night... had to dig out the table saw first haha. But I decided to do down firing boxes. With the floor spacers the total height on the boxes is 6.5 inches. I figured raising the seat an inch would be more than enough to clear the boxes. Anyone know that the bolts that hold the bracket to the seat are? I need an inch longer one, they look like 10mm x 1.25

What im saying is remove and sell your bench seat, purchase two captains chairs, install a center console box in the rear. My buddy did it in his Dmax. you can contour it to fit 2 subs make it look better plus you get the air space you need

That looks good but for obvious reasons you fire down and back in the area that that box is located. The top can be made to accommodate cup holders or a small console top.

www.partsexpress.com for all your sub/audio building needs

just get some 3m super 90 spray at Home depot, Lowes, etc and put it down.

Ordered box connections a distro box and carpet all for 30 bucks from here... I'm pumped..

I got the 1 inch raise on the seat tonight, should have the boxes finished up by tomorrow.
