So I stabled onto this picture I had took maybe 3-4 years back of an F350 that was really short. I was near Lackland AFB so I figured it was military being olive drab and all. Anyone got any info on these?

Every person in the USAF has been stationed at Lackland. Basic training for enlisted, And officers train on the other side of the base.

Its called a toter, we have them here at Langley....and yes Lackland has no runway, its used strictly for training, its where basic training is completed as well as special forces tech schools and security forces tech school, Combat Arms tech school and military working dog tech school....and a few more but I can't remember all of them....its mostly a law enforcement training base, I also know that MA for the Navy trains there as well.

See those all the time at Boeing for planes, towing large trailers, SA dolleys, all sorts of stuff. They just bought a handful of new Ford tugs here.

Lackland AFB has no airplanes though. Only USAF base in the world with no runway.

I believe Lackland took over what was once Kelly AFB's runway. When Kelly was closed the ANG was what looked like moved across the runway to the Lackland side. All the C5's are on that side as well and fly out every day. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like.

I did not realize Kelly was closed. You are probably right.

Driven many of them, these were primarily used for towing of equipment, LOX carts, compressors, munitions trailers etc. The one we used was a 6.0. The Ammo dump and AGE own the majority of them.
I believe they used to be up for auction from DRMO, as were Hummers, 6 pax and other military vehicles, since 9-11 I heard all vehicles are being crushed, Most of the crushing happends here in AZ.
