Threads not showing as read

I don't know if something has changed recently but both on here and the other forum that run vb3, the threads don't update by the bold type changing to "un-bold" type for the last several days now. I am on another forum that runs an earlier version that still works normally. Is this something new or is this a bug of some sort?

It's working for me. Try closing your broswer and reopening it. If that doesn't work, try clicking "mark as read" and see if it changes the thread titles to unbold.

OK so you understand what I mean then. The thing is that I am running firefox latest version and adobe flash player latest version that both updated at the same time a few days ago and I am not sure if they had anything to do with it. I am on a few other forums like I said that run older versions of vbulletin without issue so I have no idea if it is strictly related to vb3 or is it some other glitch. Even if I click on "mark forums read" it will unhighlight the threads I haven't read and keep in bold the ones I have read. If I click on it again they all go back to unread. The weird part is that where the envelope is on the left, the letter sticking out disappears as though it has been read while nothing else changes.

I have tried closing the browser, logging out and logging back in, clearing cookies, rolling back to previous version of firefox, restarting the computer several times while doing these things. I am at a loss.
